ServicesPrototype to Production
Production-ready in 30 days.
You built it with AI tools and it works. Now it has users, a payment button and data that is not yours to lose. A fixed-price audit and the fixes, signed by a CTO with 25 years of building software.
The problem
AI coding tools build a working product in a weekend. They do not build the parts nobody sees: who can read the database, where the keys live, what happens when a payment fails, how a change is tested before it ships.
The usual signs: every new prompt breaks something you already shipped. An engineer looks at the code and suggests starting over. A customer or an investor asks whether it is secure and you are not sure. The hosting bill is climbing and you cannot say why.
None of this means the product was a mistake. It means the prototype did its job and now it needs a production version.
Who it is for
- Founders with a working product built mostly with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Cursor or Claude Code, and real users, paying customers or a launch date.
- Founders about to hire their first engineer, sign an agency or raise, who need the codebase in a state someone else can take over.
- Founders who have been asked "is this secure?" by a customer, an investor or a partner and do not know the answer.
- Non-technical founders who want to keep building with AI tools, with guardrails that catch what the tools break.
What it covers
- A signed audit in five business days: what is exposed, what breaks first and what it costs to fix, with evidence to file and line.
- Security and access closed: secrets off the browser, data access rules on every table, authentication and payments that hold up under real use.
- A data model that will carry the next year of features, with database changes under version control and backups you have restored at least once.
- Tests on the paths that make money, and a pipeline that stops a broken change, from a person or an AI tool, before it reaches customers.
- Hosting under your own accounts, monitoring that tells you about failures first, and a cost review with caps on the spend.
- A handover an engineer can start from, and a signed before-and-after report of what was fixed and what risk remains.
- Your interface stays as it is. The work is underneath.
Pricing
Three fixed prices, agreed in writing before work starts.
Readiness Audit
$3,500
5 business days
- Signed report and a fixed-price quote for the fix.
- Credited in full toward a sprint booked within 30 days.
Stabilize Sprint
$7,500
2 weeks, audit included
- Data access and secrets.
- Authentication and payments.
- Backups and a separate staging environment.
Production-Ready Sprint
$12,500
30 days, audit included
- Everything in Stabilize.
- The data model, tests, CI/CD, hosting and monitoring.
- Cost review and handover.
Sprints cover one web app, one repository and one database, up to about 50,000 lines. Larger systems get a written quote after the audit. After the sprint, a Fractional CTO retainer can keep it that way: Core from $5,500 a month, or the Team retainer at $25,000 a month with two senior engineers to keep building.
What the sign-off is and is not
The signed report is an expert opinion on the state of the app at handover. It is not a warranty and it is not a certification. Where a risk remains, the report says so.
New features, a redesign and rewriting a native mobile app are outside every tier. KYE Ventures holds no SOC 2, HITRUST or HIPAA certification, and no code carries one.
How it works
Audit, days 1 to 5. Read-only access under an NDA. AI coding agents do the volume of reading. Nathan Biles reviews every finding, decides the priority and signs the report.
Agree the fix list. You approve the list and the order before anything changes. Fix in place unless the audit shows a rebuild is cheaper, and the report says why.
Fix, days 6 to 30. Senior engineers from the KYE Ventures bench direct AI coding agents through the list, in small reviewed changes, with a 30-minute review with you each week.
Hand over, day 30. Documents, runbook, the signed before-and-after report, and a call with Nathan. You own the code and every account from day one.
Questions
- Will you rewrite it from scratch?
- Not unless the audit shows a rebuild is cheaper than a fix, and then the report shows the numbers. Most of the work is underneath the parts you already built.
- Who actually does the work?
- Senior engineers directing AI coding agents, the way Nathan leads development today. Nathan Biles reviews the findings and the changes, and signs the audit and the final report by name.
- Can I keep building with Lovable, Cursor or Replit afterward?
- Yes. The tests and the pipeline exist so you can. If a prompt breaks something that used to work, the pipeline stops it before your customers see it.
- Do I own the code and the accounts?
- Yes, from day one. The work happens in your repository and your hosting, database and payment accounts. Access is removed at handover unless you choose a retainer.
- What if the audit says it is not worth fixing?
- Then you have a signed report that says why, what a rebuild would take, and what to keep. The $3,500 is credited toward a rebuild with KYE Ventures booked within 30 days, or you take the report to anyone you like.
